Come join us for a very special open house to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Fridley Historical Society and the 60th Anniversary of the 1965 Fridley tornado.

May 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

11:15 a.m. – new lift dedication

11:30 a.m. – Buzz’s Barber Shop exhibit reveal

1 p.m. – sealing of the 2025 time capsule

Phat Phil’s mini donuts in the FHS parking lot

Booking signing: FHS member and author Al Taylor will be on hand signing books and sharing his knowledge of the 1965 Fridley tornado. Dr. Switzer will also be signing his book Keep’er Between the Ditches: A Farmboy from Hamilton, North Dakota.

Interview with Bernadine

Bernadine Mastushak sat down with the Fridley Historical Society on January 30, 2025 and discussed what it was like growing up in Fridley in the 1930s and 1940s.
